The fabulous 1957 Mercury Mark 75H! $189.97
+ $8.00 S&H! A LIMITED COLLECTOR'S EDITION.
The Mark 75 az offered in 2 colors - EVER: Blue-on-blue and Sunset Orange with Sand.
Only 1000 will be made in
Sunset Orange! Only
285 were made in Marlin Blue!
Blue-on-blue version is sold out. Don't miss these limited editions! Now you can add a classic racing outboard
from the 1950's to your miniature outboard collection. It's a full 5.5
inches tall in 1:8 scale. Detail like this has never been seen in a scale
model outboard. See the in-process "first shot" photos. The
six-in-line powerhead is duplicated in every detail; a miniature medallion is on the face
plate; the pull cord handle and choke pull are on the top cowl. The
pull cord actually "pulls" and auto retracts just like the real outboard.
We have not missed a single
detail
of this classic outboard. Soon it can be on the shelf in your den!
Note: Entire lower unit is painted.
Archives indicate this is more correct than the polished aluminum lower unit
shown.
How did we do it? Mercury Marine opened its achieve of stored outboards for
Alterscale's technical experts and model makers. We measured every bolt, screw
and casting of an actual 1957 Mark 75H. The clamp tightening grip even has the
correct molded ridges. We are creating the greatest, most detailed scale model outboard in
all of history! Get ready, gentlemen, to
start your engines! And yes, of course, the "wrap around" cowl segment
removes to display the powerhead and the model has
an operating
electric propeller! You could expect no less from Alterscale (batteries are
concealed in the base of the stand). We are obsessed with detail!
The Mark 75H model made its world debut September 28, 2002, at
the Inaugural Fond du Lac Mercury/AOMC Outboard Meet. The photo below
shows Terry giving Rick Mackie of Mercury Racing his first look at the new
model.
